Juneteenth
During the covid time all live art events were on ice.
One event that I participated in was the on-line Juneteenth celebration curated by Guillermo Gomez Peña of La Pocha Nostra, Mexico and Jill MsDermid of GraceSpace, New York. They brought together two teams of four artists, presenting their art actions from various places of the world.
I made my contribution at 4 am kayaking on a lake, landing at a cottage, making sauna, washing, dressing up in a suit and continuing my trip in the kayak. I video recorded everything live with a phone, first attached on my head, later adjusted again and again to catch the image of my actions; at the end the phone/camera was left on the bank just witnessing my kayaking off.
