Puente de Larga Distancia

A collaboration with Domix Garrido
in the Museo Cristobal Gabarrón, Mula (Murcia), Spain
April 4th, 2025

The third collaboration on my trip was with Domix Garrido. We never collaborated before but we had established a good contact some years earlier.
Domix contacted the Museo in Mula: a very beautiful building, mainly housing the works of the name giver: Cristóbal Gabarrón.


Downstairs was an impressive medieval cellar with huge vessels originally meant for olive oil (or wine?). I immediately fell in love with the place and tried out the sound of my saxophone mouthpiece on a hose: amazing dark echos bubbling up from the old vessels.
Domix found a tiny space -like a hollow space in the building- with a sculpture. He took a long rope and started binding and knotting himself.
At some point I blew myself out of the cellar towards the space where Domix was entangled. I freed him of most of the knots and tore/guided him outside of the building. 
On the street we undid the last knots with a bit of help from the audience, till we could eye each other straight and clear.
We bowed our heads for a final touch.
