Global Dust 6

The original action started in the cultural center Kanneltalo in Helsinki.
I cleaned the space with a brush and a dustbin, collecting the dust in a paper bag. The action was filmed.
With the dust and the video I went to the Centro de Bellas Artes in Madrid, Spain. In sync with the video I cleaned the space, threw the Finnish dust from the paper bag on the floor and collected the Spanish dust.
The Spanish dust was spread in Italy, the Italian dust in Korea, Korean dust in China, Chinese dust in Mexico. Every time with one more projection. Now I had Mexican dust for the USA...
In Chicago an enthusiastic group of volunteers helped me set up the six monitors and video projections. The space was packed. When I started to clean the space people smiled in anticipation. When I threw the Mexican dust it was silent, just silent. Only after collecting the American dust people breathed and laughed and moved again. The American dust I took home, now waiting for the next address.
