Success
Live Biennale 22-28 September 2015 Vancouver - CA
Every two years, LIVE [LIVE International Performance Art Biennale], Vancouver’s international performance art celebration, infiltrates Vancouver to publicly display a curated survey of artists from here and afar who express themselves through the canon of ‘Performance Art’. See the special site: livebiennale.ca
I presented three performance actions at the Biennale and, together with Nathalie Mba Bikoro a lecture about transcultural curating practices at the Simon Fraser University.

Success was the first action of a series of three performances that I presented in LIVE.
The action started with me asking the audience to give me an applause as if the action was done already. When they clapped hands I slowly raised my hands to cover my ears. When the applause grew louder I pressed my hands even harder and bowed my head, my back and my knees. When I thought the noise subsided I tried to take my hands away but then the audience started to clap louder again. I immediately pressed my hands on my ears again and crawled over the floor, trying to escape the applause. After some minuted the audience grew tired and stopped clapping, finally letting me free my ears and stand up to walk away.
