Infraction Venezia 2011 (31 May - 4 June) was meant to attract the attention of art critics and media during the preview of the Venice Biennial. It succeeded in that it attracted attention varying from enthusiastic response to mild bemusement. At the same time it threatened to drown in the presentation of thousands of other art works all around the city.
That's why I was happy to also perform in the Accademia des Bellas Artes where the spotlight was directed specially on action art.
At the Giardini I did a one and a half hour public performance (Present 1) decorating my body with pieces of present tape. Students of the academy made photos that were later used to project on the floor of the Accademia. In this performance (Present 2) I started to wrap the whole space with the tape and ended up wrapping empty presents in the light of the projections.
