Unstuck

At the end of the Fake Finn Festival that I initiated I did something I never do: performing in an event curated by me.
After making sure that everything had been taken care of I took the honor to do the last performance of the three day festival with 21 artists of foreign origin living in Finland: Fake Finns.
I started the action by taping a saucer with the gluing side outwards.
Then I taped my hand and invited a volunteer to come forward and do the same. When he was ready we shook hands.
It took a hilarious action to free ourselves again.
Putting the table a bit closer to the audience I taped my mouth, again with the sticky side outwards. I invited a volunteer. It took some time.
After the inevitable kiss and the laborious release i put the table even closer.
I taped my forehead and bowed my head towards the saucer. In dutch we have the saying "je hebt een bord voor je kop", roughly translated "you have a plate in front of your head", meaning you don't want to see things as they are. I stood there for a while, then ending the action.
Performed 2 April 2011 at the Fake Finn Festival, Galeria Augusta, Suomenlinna, Helsinki, Finland
