The Line Is Finally Drawn
Paris based Dimanche Rouge organized a quite megalomaniac festival in Estonia and Finland involving about 100 artists from all over Europe. As it is with this kind of projects there was no budget, just the enthusiasm of artists and, let's mention that as well, the organizers.
Not exactly attractive but I wanted to get to know the people behind D Rouge, so I prepared for a trilogy of performances dealing with the relation between artist and space. This performance was the first and took place in October in the Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn, Estonia.
Like in many museums also here performance art was made as impossible as possible. Lots of rules and talks and warnings and questions and asking superiors and little support and of course no budget.
Fortunately I shared my fate with Ali Al-Fazawi and Wathiq Al-Ameri, even literally so, because at the very last moment we decided to do our performances at the same time.
